Be Beautiful was created as an imprint of Anime 18 Corporation, under the umbrella of Central Park Media.1
Be Beautiful was one of the earliest publishers of boys’ love manga in North America, publishing their first series in August of 2004. They primarily licensed from Biblos Publishing until Biblos declared bankruptcy in April 2006.
Be Beautiful, and Central Park Media as a whole, began to collapse in early 2007, when Libre Publishing publicly admonished Be Beautiful for copyright infringement.3 Be Beautiful ceased publications shortly thereafter, and Central Park Media declared bankruptcy in spring 2009.4
