About Us page.
Digital Manga, Inc. (DMI) was founded in 2003.1 DMI worked with companies such as Dark Horse to publish manga series. However, in 2004, as a joint partnership with Penguin Group USA, Digital Manga Publishing (DMP) was established releasing manga and novels under DMI.2
Digital Manga’s iconic BL imprint, Juné, launched in early 2005 with the website Yaoi-Manga.com, although series were not technically published under it until the release of Eiki Eiki’s The Art of Loving in April 2006.3
801 Media was launched as a sister imprint of Juné, aiming to publish more mature BL works.
Their DokiDoki imprint was launched in 2009, in partnership with Japanese publisher Shinshokan.
Unfortunately, as of 2025, it seems that most of DMP, Juné, DokiDoki, and 801 Media’s licenses have lapsed or expired.
