Kitty Media was created as an imprint of Media Blasters in 1997, licensing and distributing pornographic anime (hentai).
Media Blasters entered the manga publishing market in 2004, publishing both shonen and yaoi manga. However, due to little enthusiasm for their shonen titles, Media Blasters dropped their line of shonen titles and focused solely on boys’ love manga in 2007.2
The licenses of manga series published by Kitty Media seem to have expired. Kitty Media continued localizing and distributing anime titles. They were acquired by FAKKU in November 2017.3 Unfortunately, this partnership dissolved in 2023.
