ZERO (later called Magazine ZERO) was first published in 1994, as a special issue of Patsy. While still featuring some BL manga, its primary focus was the science fiction and fantasy genres. ZERO was published quarterly (except for the issues from November 1995 to December 1997, during which it changed to a bimonthly publication). After Patsy ceased publication, ZERO was published as special issues of Novel b-BOY until the Autumn 1999 issue, when it joined the issuing order of Novel BEaST.
