We finally made it! After working on the Yaoi Archive since July, and creating a Blogger site for a short time, we finally have a REAL website we can call our own! Only took us a whole six months and we’ve only JUST gotten started!

So… what’s currently available as of January 1st?

  • Japanese Publishers:
    • Currently only publications by Biblos are available. The intent is to complete their catalogue (to the extent possible) and then move to work on a different publisher’s catalogue.
    • With quite a bit of research done, we created a page with Company Information for Biblos (formerly known as Seiji Biblos), for any viewers interested in reading about the company (further readings and sources are available on the “References” page).
    • Sun Publishing (now known as Magazine Magazine), Libre Publishing, and Shinshokan are all publishers whose BL publications we will be archiving after finishing Biblos’ catalogue.
  • Publications:
    • Patsy – all pages have been created with complete contents (minor updates pending).
    • b-BOY Special Editions – the special one-shot anthologies are still in-progress.
      • Pages have been created for all of the original b-BOY volumes, and the first six b-BOY Zips volumes.
    • Novel b-BOY – pages have been created through Feb. 1996, and the Patsy DX special issue pages have all been created.
    • Magazine BE×BOY – pages have been created through the Jul. 2002 issue.
      • NOTE: Some pages are incomplete as the magazines are still being shipped to us; they will be updated upon arrival.
    • Magazine ZERO – pages have been created through Vol. 8 (Jan. 1996).
    • BE×BOY GOLD – pages have been created through Dec. 1999, as well as the pages for Jun. 2000, Dec. 2000, Feb. 2002, Feb. 2003 – Jun. 2003, Apr. 2004, Jun. 2004, Feb. 2005 – Apr. 2006.
    • Novel BEaST – all pages have been created (except for issues of Magazine ZERO); contents will be added in future updates.
  • English Publishers:
    • Only the following publishers are listed so far:
      • Be Beautiful – page is complete, all releases and planned releases are provided.
      • Broccoli Books (Boysenberry) – page is in-progress.
      • CMX Manga – page is in-progress.
      • Deux Press – page is complete, all releases and planned releases are provided.
      • DramaQueen – page is in-progress.
      • Kitty Media (and Media Blasters) – page is complete, all releases and planned releases are provided.
      • TokyoPOP (and BLU) – page is in-progress.
    • A page for Digital Manga Publishing’s out-of-print or expired licenses (including Juné, 801 Media, and DokiDoki imprints) is in-progress.
  • Archived Works:
    • This is a running list of the original Japanese publications, and English licenses that have been fully digitized by the Yaoi Archive, or are in-progress.
      • Patsy, Vol. 1, and Magazine BE×BOY, No. 1 are both available via the Internet Archive (links are provided on their respective pages).
      • Other digitized works will be uploaded to the Internet Archive, or a similar site, at later dates; however, viewers are free to contact the.yaoi.archivist@gmail.com to view digital materials.
  • Series:
    • Currently the Biblos Series page has been created, with individual series pages in-progress.
      • The series page for Kazuma Kodaka’s Bad Teacher’s Equation is the only series page created at the moment (because it’s a personal favorite), but more series pages are coming soon!

Please contact us, or comment on this post, if there are any specific things you want to see us get finished first (whether a certain series page, a book you want digitized, or anything in general), we will be more than happy to get something done sooner!
